A Proper Pot of Tea
- Prepare two teapots.
- Place your tea leaves straight into one teapot without any kind of straining ball or cylinder. This will allow your tea leaves to fully unfurl and properly release their flavor and nutrients.
- Pour the water into your teapot over the tea leaves, and let steep.
- To strain, simply hold an open strainer over the second empty teapot, and pour all the tea over it. If you strain only some of the tea, the rest will continue brewing and may turn bitter.
- Place strained tea leaves back into the empty teapot, and brew again up to 2-3 more times.
Tips:
- All done brewing? Blend the used tea leaves into your homemade soups, pesto, or smoothie for a healthy fiber + nutrient boost.
